More like spring weather

This week was more like spring weather, cool and great for gardening. At this time of year it is hard to keep up with the garden. Some of the plants that I planted in the greenhouse are ready to come out. The pumpkins and sunflowers want to be planted in the ground! I am finding that the dahlias in the greenhouse are not any larger than the ones in the raised beds outside, very odd. I picked the first rose bouquet this morning, it is from one of the hybrid tea plants along the driveway, my climbing rose Eden, has buds but is not quite out, maybe next week.

From the garden, bouquets of Solomen's Seal, pink, purple and blue Columbines and limited amount of roses.

from the kitchen - strawberry and oat scones, banana bread and rhubarb cake.
